During the VUSHF Fieldday at OZ1ALS, we had some portable 3cm equipment with us, so why not work some RS qso’s. I worked OK2A, but with 2 test leads instead of a cw-key, it can be a challenge.

Here OZ7Z is working OK2A  (also on picture OZ9DT(left) and OZ1LPR. Video by OZ1ALF) :

In the NAC uW Palle (OZ9DT) and I decided to go /p, just to test another qth, the place have a perfect take of in most directions, and it is very easy to put up the disc + spid rotator in the 10m Tower. Unfortunately the forest to the North has grown to much, so signals where not so strong from the North.

Today I manage to work my second qso on 24GHz, and what a nice square, JO34WE, active for the first time on 24GHz. Thanks to Reinhold, DL6NAA and Rolf DK2ZF.

Peter, OZ1LPR and I where portable on Dybboel Banke in JO44VV, Peter added a 300mW PA to my 24GHz system, so with 300mW and 48cm dish, DL0AR was easy to work.

Also worked them on 10GHz from home and from JO44VV, with 59 signals.

Here some pictures of the equipment and operators.

Today I made a small test with Gerard, PA0BAT(JO31FX, 406km), to see how the A/C funtion in tucnak was working. Today no tropo, only airscatter signals,

Here a picture from the test, looks very promising (click on the picture):

Earlier in the evening Reinhold(DL6NAA), were out testing his portable 10GHz, for the comming JO34-Expedtion. He were in JO50WD (551KM), and heard my signal via tr on his small system.

Second day with RS on 10GHz in 2015, not much rain here in JO44, but lots of rain in Germany 🙂

Did work 5 qso’s, not many qrv(as usual). Worked DM2AFN for the first time. Here what I worked :

Heard also some new beacons, don’t know which beacons on each side of DM0TUD ?

Also saw a weak trace on 050, could have been ok0ea,

Here a “map” from PowerSDR(Hermes) from 16:24 utc:

OZ1ALS were as usual active in the NAC on 144MHz in April 2015. Condition and activity above normal. Thanks for all the qso’s.

Here our result, all worked with “winter setup” only 4×4 + 4×6 and 1KW.
